BVS10 Mk2 “VIKING”
Here is a great example of how we use 3d-printing in our repair and upgrade work. We built a BVS10 model back in the days and recently were contacted by the Mariniers museum Rotterdam. For their new exhibition they would need it but they wished it to be updated with the armour fencing and the weapons dome.
Based on images only we designed the fencing and dome around our existing model. It was printed on our multijet printer with gratings as fine as 0.5mm. After post processing the paint was matched to the model and full camouflage colouring was added to match the existing model. Finally small acrylic windows where added to the dome.
It will be on show by the end of the year at mariniers museum Rotterdam.
