Technical Precision —
Translated on Scale
Technical Presentation Model for International Trade Shows
For Saltwater, AllOnScale developed multiple technical scale models for exhibition and sales purposes. The most recent project is the MainPort Edge at scale 1:100.
The story behind the model
For Saltwater Engineering, we translated the MainPort Edge concept into a precise 1:100 technical scale model. The objective was clear: create a powerful exhibition model that would communicate engineering capability, offshore reliability and structural expertise at Energy Offshore.
Based on supplied engineering data and visual references, we developed a technically accurate presentation model with a strong focus on proportions, deck equipment, crane configuration and structural detailing. Every visible element was aligned with the real-world offshore application.
The model was mounted on a black base plate and protected by a transparent display case, ensuring transport safety and premium presentation quality. Delivered ready-for-exhibition, the model functioned as a central communication tool on the stand, drawing attention and supporting technical conversations.
This was not a display object.
It was a strategic sales instrument for a live offshore audience.
Scaled for Impact
A scale model of the Saltwater MainPort Edge is more than a visual reference. It is a technical presentation model designed to clarify complex offshore engineering in a tangible format.
At Energy Offshore, the model served three purposes:
-
Visual anchor on the stand
-
Conversation starter with engineers and decision makers
-
Strategic tool to explain deck configuration and operational capability
For engineering companies operating in offshore environments, a physical scale model strengthens credibility. It translates technical drawings into a clear and controlled narrative.
“Throughout the entire process, we stayed in close alignment with the client’s exhibition deadline.”

Captain’s Log: What Clients Say
Navigation your Questions:
Can you build in any scale or size?
Yes, up to full size (1:1). We craft models at any scale with a minimum finished length of 300 mm (≈11.8 in) to keep the fine details shipshape.
Can you meet a specific event date?
Usually, yes. Let’s set the course early. Share your deadline (launch, trade show, gifting) and we’ll confirm feasibility, schedule the build, and—if timing is tight—propose phased delivery or display-ready milestones.
Can you repair or modify an existing model?
Yes, our workshop keeps models in trim. We handle repairs, refurbishments, and post-finishing. Share photos and a short description; we’ll advise on feasibility and timing.
Do you ship internationally?
We don’t book transport directly, but we make the voyage simple. Your model is professionally packed for international transit. We can introduce trusted logistics partners, while most clients book the courier or freight service themselves.
Do you offer lighting, motion, or display furniture?
Aye—built-in options to suit your deck. We integrate lighting and moving elements, and can supply display furniture for exhibitions or trade shows.
What information do you need for a quote?
A clear brief keeps us on heading. Please include photos/reference images, vessel name, desired finished length, and scale (e.g., 1:20). For faster, sharper pricing: 3D/2D drawings, RAL color references, preferred base/plaque, and any extras (flight case, presentation packaging, lighting, motion).
Where are you based and who will I work with?
Port of call: Arnhem, the Netherlands. Projects are led by owners Geert van Uffelen and Stijn Cox, supported by our in-house workshop team from brief to handover.
